Who We Are

Gunnel Sofia Wahlberg Lindstedt

For about 40 years I have been practicing meditation, yoga, dance, education, writing, and painting. I speak 5 languages (Swedish, Spanish, English, German and French). I have three years of University studies in Psychology, I am an instructor of aerobic and yoga, and I am a masseuse. I have a Bachelors in Spanish and I have a degree in teaching High School level education (Spanish and Psychology), teaching juniors (Swedish, Swedish as a 2^nd language and math), and I have 20 years of teaching experience in Sweden.

Lars-Åke Lindstedt

I have a teaching degree for juniors in sports, painting, and English, and I have vast experience teaching primary and secondary school, as well as High School. As an artist I have had my own business for 35 years, coupled with exhibitions, making illustrations and leading painting courses all over Sweden and abroad.

Why Us

We focus on four different areas where we show the way to personal enlightenment and self-awareness with a new and creative way of thinking:

Emotional and social competence (EQ): An important quality of our modern society is to be able to cooperate and to be social. Self-awareness is an asset.
Wellness: It’s important to know your body and to listen to it in order to keep it as healthy as possible.
Painting: Learning to paint is not only a technique but also a way to allow your subconscious to speak freely, especially if painting follows after practicing yoga and meditation.
Language: Language is a way to communicate and communication is necessary for us in order to understand each other. The way we use our language is crucial in many ways and, therefore, utterly important.

Gunnel

I have spent the summers in the Archipelago of Stockholm since I was a child, where we live now. I lived in Spain for many years. During my work as a tourist guide I met people from all over the world and I was able to put my five languages to good use.

Mostly, I have been an observer. I have registered my surroundings, sometimes with a pen, sometimes with a brush. As a child I often spoke about art with my uncle Bertil, who was an artist, and I spoke about literature with my grandmother and my mother. When I was quite young I started to get interested in yoga and other ways to achieve wellness. During my 20 years in Spain I learned massage, and being an instructor of yoga and aerobics. And I danced. I studied psychology at a University in Spain in order to better understand the human psyche and later on I studied at two different Universities in Sweden to be a teacher in language, psychology and math. I have worked for many years as a teacher in pre-school, in secondary school and in High School. I am very interested in school-improvement.

I have a teacher’s degree in sports, painting, and English, and I have vast experience teaching primary and secondary school and High School. As an artist I have had my own business for 35 years, coupled with exhibitions, illustrations, and courses in painting all over Sweden and abroad. My specialty is water-color painting. This technique is used in all kinds of works from experimenting teaching knowledge about colors to illustrations and other creative works, but I also use other techniques. I like to experiment and to create new things. For many years I’ve had exhibitions in Sweden and abroad.

I am highly interested in school improvement and education, besides art and painting. Everything is part of the whole!

For nearly 20 years I have been illustrating diplomas for the Nordic Council, but also for the Swedish business-branch and the Wallenberg Foundation. I have also illustrated Gunnel’s anthology of short novels. “Glöm aldrig säga farväl!” (“Never Forget to Say Goodbye!)

When I was teaching painting for many years, my pupils sometimes started asking questions about life and I often found that I couldn’t help them enough, because the talks often touched on feelings more than they did on the technique. But in collaboration with Gunnel, we were able to develop the content for the courses.

I have been engaged with transcendental meditation and in later years with yoga as well.
